- 2 tablespoons (28 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 ½ tablespoons (30 g) granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons (10 g) cocoa powder
- ¼ cup (30 g) all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
- ⅛ teaspoon (.75 g) baking powder
- 2 tablespoons (28 g) semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine softened butter and granulated sugar and mix until well combined.
Add egg yolk and mix until combined.
Mix in cocoa powder and stir until combined.
Add all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder and mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips. Roll dough into a large ball.
Place dough on prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375° F (190° C).
Allow cookie to cool on pan for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
