Delicious Single Serving Hot Chocolate

Nothing warms you up better on a cold morning than a creamy, rich glass of hot chocolate. Topped with marshmallows or whipped cream, of course.

  • 2 tablespoons (25 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (5 g) cocoa powder
  • Dash of salt
  • 4 teaspoons (18 g) hot water
  • 1 cup (245 g) milk
  • ½-1 tablespoon (7-14 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Splash of vanilla extract

  • In a small saucepan, mix sugar, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Add water and mix over medium-high heat until well combined. Continuously stir and bring mixture to a boil. Continue to stir for about a minute and a half.
  • While stirring, add milk and chocolate chips. Continue to stir until it reaches your desired temperature.
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir and enjoy!
