Equipment

  • Rimmed baking sheets
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Stand mixer or hand mixer
  • Silicone spatula
  • Kitchen scale

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup (170 g) butter unsalted, slightly cold
  • ¾ cup (159 g) light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup (48 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 (100 g) large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 ½ cup (180 g) cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 ½ cups (240 g) old fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ -2 cups (224- 448 g) milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Cream butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time and mix until smooth. Add vanilla and mix for an additional 30 seconds.
  • Add flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix until just combined.
  • Add oats and chocolate chips and mix until just combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop, roll dough into golf ball sized portions and place on prepared cookie sheet. I place about six cookies on a sheet as they spread.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are starting to brown. Allow cookies to cool completely on baking sheet.
  • Enjoy!
